Belarusian State Medical University is the leading higher medical educational institution of the Republic of Belarus, which has a well-deserved authority and recognition not only in our country, but also far beyond its borders. In November 2021, it will celebrate the centenary of its inception. The beginning of its history dates back to 1921, when the opening of the Belarusian State University was announced, which included the Faculty of Medicine, which in 1930 became an independent educational institution. The first graduation of doctors took place in 1925 - 21 people received a diploma of graduation from the faculty.
In 2001, at that time, the Minsk State Medical Institute was renamed into the Belarusian State Medical University and received the status of the leading medical university of the Republic of Belarus.
